Writing From Maine Because: HOT GIRLS TRAVEL!!!

Doesn't it always seem like that trip you booked six months ago happens to sneak up on you at the perfect moment? You're stressed with work, people are pissing you off, and like that one theme song goes, your love life's DOA.

A myriad of things have you saying those words I know all too well...

"I need to get out of town"

Well that's because: HOT GIRLS TRAVEL!!!

It's just a fact! We need adventure like fish need water or like frat douches need axe body spray.

As I write this blog, I'm seated cozily in my wickedly overpriced Airbnb located in the charming, storybook-like costal town of Bar Harbor, Maine.

My sister is laying to my left click-clacking her fake nails as she texts her friends, I've got a whoopie pie chilling in the mini fridge as a post-blog completion reward, and I haven't been this relaxed in I can't begin to tell you how long.

*For those that don't know, a whoopie pie is a delightfully sinful regional dessert comprised of two cakelike buns with a whipped cream filling in the middle*

We bossed up and hiked Acadia National Park (where during I checked my pulse approx. 16 times), I've gorged myself on buttery lobster and blueberry cider, spotted humpback whales from a boat in the middle of the Atlantic, and capped off our weekend away with a ghost tour that went about 30 minutes too long led by a chubby, jovial man in a black top hat.

Not only has this trip blessed me with some good ole' fashioned bonding between my 17-year-old sister and I, but it's also been fulfilling, rewarding, and a little bit surreal finally checking off a place I've wanted to visit for so long.

Money comes and goes, that's for sh*t sure. BUT having a brain brimming with new memories, a psyche that feels refreshed and energized for the first time in a long time, and a suitcase stuffed with so many souvenirs that I've certainly exceeded the 50 pound luggage weight limit, it all feels pretty damn worth it.

So ladies, do me and yourself a favor and book the vacation. Hot girls travel, and you're HOT ASF.

Happy Traveling!

XO,

Ava

P.S. Instagram might have seen these first, but consider this blog my little mini photo album.

P.P.S. I was dressed by The Pink Closet Company. DUH!
