Greetings From Washington! And Other Exciting News...

Hello Ladies!

*and whichever Gentleman are secure enough in their masculinity to enjoy my colorful anecdotes*

Seeing that I am on summer vacay, I'm currently writing you from Ellicott City, Maryland! This weekend we celebrated my Great Aunt Shirley's 80th birthday with a charming surprise party. Nothing quite as relaxing as mingling and interacting with 50+ extended family members and friends, right?

In order to get a little more bang for our buck, my dad and I decided to drive on over to Washington D.C. for a little father & daughter field trip. Being in our nation's capital happens to be the perfect way to celebrate some very exciting news...

Every year, the uber-popular blog Creative Loafing holds their "Best of the Bay" Awards honoring people, places, & things for a multitude of different categories.

I am more than happy to report that The Pink Closet Company has been nominated for "Best Black-Owned Business" thanks to our beautiful owner Stephanie James.

I, Ava Daly, have been nominated for "Best Blogger" in honor of The Pink Diaries.

And, my father, the ultra-hilarious and mega-talented Sean Daly has been nominated for "Best TV Host/Newsperson" and "Best Journalist that Doesn't Work at Creative Loafing".

Voting is open until Wednesday, August 20th at midnight and is a FANTASTIC way to support The Pink Closet Company and The Pink Diaries. I have linked the ballots below!
